Who we are
We are a hearing and mobility aid company which offers a wide range of aids and services to the hard of hearing, elderly and disabled community in many locations across England, Wales and Scotland and in clients own homes.
Hearing & Mobility evolved from various takeovers of established and traditional mobility shops (including Keep Able), together with the integration of Hearing Services and is now a part of DHAIS Plc.
The Chairman is Mark Moss who started as a hearing aid dispenser over 40 years ago, Mark grew his career in the hearing aid business over a number of years until eventually rising to become the chairman of one of the largest chains of independent hearing aid companies in the country, which had shops in towns and cities across the UK.
In 2002 he launched DHAIS which widened the scope from simply providing hearing aids to also providing mobility aids as well.
From here, the name Hearing & Mobility was conceived and has been going from strength to strength ever since and now employs over 100 people in many varied roles.
Mark Moss says, “After more than 40 years of listening to people with a disability and gaining a clear understanding of their disability needs, I have realised everybody has the right to lead an independent life and pursue their hopes and dreams despite any physical disability. It is a goal I want to help others to achieve.
"Our aim is to provide a comprehensive, quality service with affordable prices for quality products. With people living longer, I too have a bus pass, it not only about making our lives easier but using products to keeps us alive and well.
"I embrace new aids which help us in our daily lives. The stairlift is an example of helping us around the home but it is also a lifesaver. The mobility scooter and the Motability scheme not only gets people out of their housed but improves social lives.”
Servicing And Repairs:-
We know that a stairlift which doesn’t function is of no use to anybody. The same for a wheelchair, hearing aids or any kind of mobility aid – the list is endless!
For this reason, we offer a repair and service facility so that you will do our very best to ensure that you are never stranded with your purchases from us.
Whether you buy with us through our shops in your home or online, we offer only the very best aftercare and servicing through our team of engineers who are always out and about installing and calling on our customers!
We are a totally transparent company and unlike online only mobility companies, you can talk face to face with our store managers, store assistants and field dispensers and advisors should you wish to do so – they are a friendly bunch, so why not contact us to discuss any aspects of what aftercare, servicing and repairs are available to you.
