VAT Exemption Guide

Many of our customers don't have to pay VAT so we display our prices excluding VAT, where the exemption allows. Prices for products that are not eligible for VAT relief are displayed inclusive of VAT.

To claim VAT relief on your on-line purchases you just need to confirm your VAT exempt status which you will automatically be prompted to complete during the ordering process. To claim VAT exemption on postal orders the VAT Exemption section on the Order Form must be fully completed and signed. Unfortunately, HM Customs and Excise do not allow VAT Exemption on orders placed over the telephone.

You are exempt from paying tax:

Individuals: If you are chronically sick or disabled and the products are for your personal use. You do not need a Doctors letter or other such documentation. Full details can be found at HMRC: VAT reliefs for disabled people

Charities: Where the goods are made available by the charity to a disabled person for their personal or domestic use. Full details can be found at HMRC: VAT reliefs on charity purchases

Buying for someone else: If you are buying this product for or on behalf of someone who is chronically sick or disabled and the product(s) is for their personal use.

Non-eligible Customers

If you are not eligible for VAT relief, we are obliged to charge you the VAT on the whole of your order at the current rate.
